PSAI Training Offerings for CY 2016

The Philippine Statistical Association, Inc. (PSAI) is pleased to announce the initial course offering for institutional and non-institutional members. The short courses for 2016 include a module on Financial Statistics Analysis. In addition to this, training modules on Data Analysis and Modeling Using R Statistical Software, and, Time Series Analysis, Modeling and Forecasting are likewise being offered and each module will run as noted on the following schedule:

Modules  I
Course Title Financial Time Series Analysis and Forecasting
  The module aims to equip the participants with the different theories and techniques in forecasting financial time series. Volatility is an important feature of financial market and accurate estimates of volatility are essential for successful risk management.

Course Title Statistical Analysis Using R
  The module covers Data Analysis and Modeling with R: How to Prepare Data Bases for Entry into R Environment; Exploratory Data Analysis with GUI R Commander; Multivariate Data Analysis and Data Mining with Rattle GUI.

Course Title Multivariate Time Series Analysis and Forecasting
  The module aims to train the participants to learn and to apply the different multivariate techniques commonly used in statistical analysis and forecasting, and to extract useful information for strategy and policy formulation.
