A. The 2024 PSAI ANNUAL CONFERENCE
The PSAI is pleased to announce its 2024 Annual Conference on September 10– 12, 2024 under the theme Statistics in the Age of Intelligence and Innovations: Balancing Progress and Responsibility. In this era of unprecedented technological advancement, statisticians and data practitioners find themselves at the forefront of transformative change. They derive insights from data intelligence which fuel innovations, shaping a new paradigm for data management and analysis. The 2024 PSAI Annual Conference is set to provide an exposition and appreciation of the evolving landscape of statistics and the crucial role of statistics in nation-building.
The conference's overarching theme will serve as a beacon guiding the discourse on statistics and its importance in and intersection with technological advancement, societal progress, and ethical responsibility. The Annual Conference shall aim to accentuate the role and responsibilities of statisticians and data practitioners in harnessing the opportunities from use of structured data, unstructured data, and big data, notwithstanding the challenges posed by the rapid evolution of technology.
The 2024 Annual Conference is expected to prompt discussion that explores the symbiotic relationship between intelligence, innovations, and the field of statistics. It seeks to create a dynamic and collaborative space for stakeholders to collectively navigate challenges in use of data and statistics, as well as embrace the opportunities presented by the ever-changing world. By fostering an environment that encourages dialogue, knowledge exchange, and skill development, the conference aims to empower statisticians and data practitioners to not only keep pace with technological advancements but also to contribute responsibly to the societal progress.
The PSAI Annual Conference is a complementation of skills training, discussions, and sharing of best practices. There will be paper and poster presentations, as well as panel discussions.
B. BEST STUDENT PAPER COMPETITION
The Annual Conference shall also feature the Best Student Paper Competition (BSPC), now on its 7th year. The BSPC is held with the support of the Philippine Statistical Research and Training Institute. Deadline for submission of full papers and accomplished Information Form for the BSPC is on 30 June 2024.

C. TRAINING (10 SEPTERMBER 2024)
On 10 September 2024, simultaneous short training-appreciation courses will be conducted on the following topics below. Training participants are enjoined to bring their own laptops.
