The International Statistical Institute has a number of awards and prizes running currently, to be presented at the 62nd ISI World Statistics Congress (WSC) in Kuala Lumpur, from 18-23 August 2019. 2019 Mahalanobis International Award
The award recognizes an individual for lifetime achievements in statistics in a developing country or region and is sponsored by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation of the Government of India. Nominations are still possible until 31 August 2018. More>>
2019 Karl Pearson Prize
The Prize, established by the ISI in collaboration with Elsevier Publishers, recognizes a research contribution that has had profound influence on statistical theory, methodology, practice, or applications. The deadline for nominations is 15 September 2018. More>>
2019 Jan Tinbergen Awards for Young Statisticians
ISI invites submission of papers for the 2019 Jan Tinbergen competition. The winners will present their papers in the special Tinbergen session at the 62nd ISI WSC. The deadline for submissions is 30 September 2018. More>>
International Prize in Statistics
The International Prize in Statistics is the most prestigious award in statistics profession and is organized by five leading international statistical organizations. The prize recognizes individuals whose powerful and original ideas led to breakthroughs in other disciplines or have had important practical effects on the world. World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building for the 62nd ISI WSC
The ISI announces the upcoming call for funding opportunities for developing country participants to attend the ISI WSC in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 18-23 August 2019. The World Bank Trust Fund for Statistical Capacity Building (WB TFSCB) is for permanent residents of developing countries, who aim to expand the statistical capacity in their country through active participation in the scientific programme of the ISI WSC in Kuala Lumpur.
